About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist that has worked within the NHS for eight years within a variety of settings. I strongly believe in a positive psychology approach in working collaboratively with a person in moving towards the the type of person they want to be through self-growth.
Often, we can experience distressing and overwhelming feelings that we feel interfere with areas of our life that are important to us and impact upon connecting with these. Through adverse experiences, it can feel challenging to envision living a life without this. Understandably, it can be difficult to talk about such difficult feelings and experiences. I strongly believe in offering a non-judgemental, warm and compassionate space for a person to feel heard and understood as we explore this and work together towards a life with vitality and meaningfulness. I value offering a space for a person to reflect and develop a deeper understanding of their experiences and believe in being guided by a person's goals.
I work from a range of therapeutic from an integrative approach drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy. I believe in working collaboratively and working from an approach that fits with what the individual wants.
